Lithium Batteries – The advantages

Lithium Batteries last on average up to 8x longer than the equivalent alkaline battery, yet they are only around 2 – 3x the price. This makes them excellent candidates for devices with high drain requirements such as camera flashes and door locks. Lithium Batteries continue to provide power well after conventional batteries fail.

Many specialist batteries are lithium in chemistry but this now extends to AA, AAA and 9V batteries.

Also boasting a shelf life of up to 8 years prior to use, they are great choice in Smoke Alarms and this makes them the preferred choice of fire department safety campaigns both nationally and further afield.

Although the initial cost is higher, the investment is paid off quickly with extreme longevity and less hassle as changes with lithium batteries are much less frequent.
