A Brief History of BatteryStation.co.uk

Battery Station was established in May 2003 providing high quality batteries to the TV & Film Industry. Over the following years, the business diversified into the supply of batteries to companies ranging from privately owned companies, PLCs and public sector. Since its inception in 2003, the range of batteries has increased from 60 lines up a product range of over 500 items.

Battery Station still enjoys a good relationship with the TV & Film Industry to this day. Previous customers have included BBC, RTÉ Dublin, Productions of Channel 4’s Shameless; and the feature film ’24 Hour Party People’.

What we're doing today

Today, the Battery Station brand and website is a trading name of the Alfafado Group (Alfafado Ltd) which encompasses online stores, online marketing & SEO and website design & development. Since acquiring Battery Station, Alfafado has increased revenue significantly and continues to do so, experiencing sustainable growth, even through a difficult financial time for many businesses.

We regularly supply PLC listed companies, private institutions and many public sector organisations including hospitals, police constabularies and schools.

Battery Station is excited to have launched our new website in March 2019. We've added many B2B features to allow our customers to log-in and see their custom pricing, place orders using purchase orders and use credit accounts. Furthermore, our new website is finally mobile friendly. We continue to work with a wide range of couriers to keep delivery costs as low as possible even with generally heavy weights and lithium restrictions.

BatteryStation.co.uk is currently working on initiatives which include ISO9001 accreditation and increasing our environmental credentials.
