Battery Station has supplied batteries and chargers to businesses, public sector organisations and the public since 2003. This page sets out who we are and how we operate.
Our story
Battery Station was established in May 2003 to supply batteries to the television and film industry — a sector that requires the correct cell, in quantity, delivered reliably to tight schedules. Those requirements shaped the business, and they remain the standard we work to.
Over the following years the business expanded to serve companies of every size, from sole traders to PLCs, together with public sector organisations across the UK. The product range has grown from 60 lines at the outset to over 400 today.
Battery Station is a trading name of Alfafado Ltd, a privately owned UK company that has operated the business since 2013.
Our team
We are based in Denton, Greater Manchester, where our warehouse and customer service team work from the same site. The business is run by a team of local people who take pride in getting orders out accurately and on time, and in resolving enquiries at the first contact. When you call or write to us, you deal with the people who pick, pack and dispatch your order.

How we operate
All orders are dispatched from our own warehouse
We hold our own stock and do not drop-ship. Items shown as in stock are physically held on site.
Same-day dispatch
Orders placed by 4pm on a business day are dispatched the same day on DPD services; the deadline for Economy and Priority is 3pm. Full details are in our Shipping policy.
Prompt, informed responses
During office hours, enquiries sent through our contact form are usually answered within minutes by a member of staff with the authority to resolve them.
Correct handling of lithium batteries
Lithium batteries are regulated goods. We pack and consign them in accordance with carrier requirements, using couriers approved to carry them.
Accurate delivery estimates
Delivery dates are displayed in the cart before payment. They are estimates, and we present them as such.
Standards
We hold ISO 9001 (quality management), ISO 27001 (information security) and ISO 14001 (environmental management), and maintain these certifications continuously. We reuse the large majority of inbound cardboard and purchase biodegradable packaging materials.
