Xtar MC1 Plus ANT Portable USB Battery Charger Set for Li-ion Batteries

The convenient, ultra-compact and highly portable ANT-MC1 Plus charger offers safety features including reverse polarity and short-circuit override protection, zero voltage battery activation and a temperature monitor to avoid overheating.

Using a standard 5V computer connection (or smartphone plug, USB solar panel connection etc.), the ANT-MC1 automatically detects and selects an optimum charging rate of 0.5 Amps (500mA) or 1.0 Amp (1000mA) depending on the battery under charge. Clear digital indications of battery power, charging status and current are provided, along with a small blue LED indicator that confirms correct operation. The battery charging cycle operates at constant current, reducing only as the target level of 4.2 Volts is reached.

This charger is suitable for charging various Lithium Ion battery models with a nominal rating of 3.6-3.7 Volts, including the following types: 10440, 14500, 14650, 16340, 17335, 17500, 17670, 18350, 18490, 18500, 18650, 18700, 22650, 25500 and 26650. The charger is ideal for reconditioning and refreshing batteries that are ageing or which have been over-discharged.

Charging Currents and Maximum Capacity Supported

• AA/AAA 1.5V Li-ion charging current: 0.5A × 8 (applies when charging 8 batteries)
• AA/AAA 1.2V Ni-MH charging current: 0.5A × 8 (applies when charging 8 batteries)
• Max capacity: No limit — charger detects full charge via battery voltage; display caps at 9,999mAh but full charging is unaffected.

The space saving unit is supplied with a carrying pouch, USB connector and lead, charger unit, warranty card and instruction manual. Recommended accessories are available separately and include a 5 Volt 1 Amp mains plug, in addition to a car adapter plug. This product is also a direct replacement and upgrade for the earlier MC1 Plus charger model.
