Description
Philips Zinc Chloride D batteries are the budget answer for the big low-power devices that take a D cell: large wall clocks, portable and emergency radios, lanterns and torches kept for the odd power cut, doorbells and musical toys. They come as a blister card of two. Zinc chloride improves on the old zinc carbon formula with more usable energy at light loads and far better resistance to leaking at the end of life. Philips guarantees at least 80% of the original energy within the best-before date, which can be as much as three years from manufacture.
